Corporate Event Mentalist at Paradigm’s Innovation Symposium
As a corporate event mentalist, I get paid to make smart people question what they just saw. So when Paradigm invited me to perform at a symposium built around the theme “Through Which Lens? Understanding Truth in the Age of Information Overload,” it felt like exactly the right room. The whole event was about how we decide what’s real – and reading minds for a living is a pretty good way to start that conversation.
About the Event
In March 2026, Paradigm brought together about 100 of their top clients and prospects for the 14th annual Paradigm Innovation Symposium. The two-day event was held at The Global Ambassador, a new luxury hotel in Phoenix, Arizona.
The audience was senior leadership from the insurance world – Chief Claims Officers, Medical Directors, VPs of Risk, SVPs of Workers’ Comp. These are the people who manage some of the hardest decisions in their industry, and the 2026 theme spoke directly to their world: misinformation, cyberthreats, and how leaders cut through the noise to find clarity and trust.
I was also honored to share the program with a remarkable lineup, including former FBI operative Eric O’Neill – who helped catch one of the most damaging spies in U.S. history -and former CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jessica Yellin.
My Role as a Corporate Event Mentalist
Kicking off the symposium on the evening of March 26, I delivered a 60-minute headline performance built around mind reading, heavy audience interaction, and a few moments people are probably still trying to explain.
But this wasn’t entertainment for its own sake. Paradigm asked me to tie the show to their theme, so I wove in my own story and an idea I believe in deeply: real preparation means doing far more than the moment seems to require.
Throughout the night, I drew parallels between what happens on stage and what happens at work. The “magic” an audience sees is really the visible part of a lot of invisible preparation – and for a room full of leaders who serve people on their hardest days, that message landed.
Why Hire a Corporate Event Mentalist?
A great corporate event mentalist does more than fill a slot on the agenda. The right performance can:
- Anchor your event’s theme in a way a slide deck never will
- Re-energize a room of senior executives after a long day of sessions
- Create a shared “how did he do that?” moment that gets people talking
- Reinforce your message through experience, not lecture
Mentalism works for corporate audiences because it’s smart entertainment. It rewards attention, sparks curiosity, and makes even the most senior, skeptical room feel like kids again – without ever talking down to them.
Takeaways
A few things stuck with me from this one:
- The best entertainment fits the event. Matching the show to Paradigm’s “truth and perception” theme made it feel like part of the program, not a break from it.
- Preparation is the real trick. The most “magical” moments are just the visible part of a lot of quiet, unglamorous work – on stage and in business.
- Smart rooms are the best rooms. A group of sharp, skeptical executives is exactly who mentalism is built for.
