Recognition Event Magician for Prosperity Home Mortgage’s 2025 Two-City ELITE Tour
When Prosperity Home Mortgage built out its 2025 ELITE recognition program across two coasts, they didn’t want two different shows. They wanted a recognition event magician who could deliver one consistent presentation in South Florida and Scottsdale — same energy, same culture, same lift heading into the awards.
That tour ran on February 19, 2025 at the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL, and again on March 12, 2025 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess as the headline entertainment for the PHM Western ELITE Conference.
About the Event
Prosperity Home Mortgage’s ELITE program recognizes top-producing loan officers, branch leaders, and operations partners across the country. To honor both regions properly, PHM ran two events:
- South Florida leg — Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood (3555 South Ocean Drive), a regular pick for incentive programs in the Miami area.
- Western leg — Fairmont Scottsdale Princess (7575 E Princess Drive), home of the PHM Western ELITE Conference.
Different ballrooms, different audiences, same brand.
My Role at the Event
I served as the featured recognition event magician at both recognition dinners — booked through Magic Global, who handled talent contracting and run-of-show for the full PHM ELITE tour. On a multi-city program, the assignment is specific: don’t compete with the awards, set them up. At each leg, the show ran before the formal recognition portion of the evening so the room walked into the trophies already lifted.
Customizations
For a multi-city tour, the worst move is delivering an identical set twice — the audiences talk. So the framing stayed consistent (same arc, same closing beat) while the volunteer moments and callbacks were rebuilt for each room. Hazel Berik and John Stephan Berik at Magic Global made that easy — clear prep calls before both legs, prompt paperwork, and a tight read on PHM’s culture each time.
Why Hire a Recognition Event Magician for a Multi-City Tour
- Brand consistency. Same arc, every city. The program’s identity stays intact even when the rooms aren’t.
- Set-up energy. The show is the appetizer, not the entrée. The pros being honored are the headline — entertainment exists to lift them.
- Resort-venue fluency. Diplomat ballrooms, Fairmont ballrooms, JWs and Loews each have their own staging, AV, and dinner-service rhythms. Knowing them in advance saves hours.
- Travel-ready logistics. Multi-city tours are usually booked through national agencies. Quick COIs, clean invoicing, ACH or wire-ready accounts — all of it pays back across legs.
- High-performer audiences. Top sellers and senior leaders deserve a show that respects their intelligence. Reading an East-Coast resort room and a Southwest resort room are not the same job.
Takeaways
- Two-city recognition tours are a real format. Booking the same talent for back-to-back ELITE events keeps culture consistent and production simpler.
- Agency-booked tours deserve crisp paperwork. Quick COIs, clear invoicing, ACH or wire-ready accounts — all of it pays back in repeat bookings across multiple legs.
- Recognition shows are set-ups. The pros being honored are the headline. The entertainment exists to lift their moment, not center itself.
- Different ballrooms, different prep. The Diplomat’s South Florida rhythms and the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess’s Southwest rhythms aren’t interchangeable. Treating them like they are is how shows go sideways.
